Pathway for Junior Golfers in the West

If you are a beginner or existing golfer with a handicap above 18 and live in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne, join us as an ’Associate Cadet’. If you are an existing junior golfer with handicap lower than 18 and have aspirations to be single figure golfer in the next 12 months, we have a number of Cadet bursaries available, select the ‘Cadet’ link for further information and the terms & conditions.

our Purpose

We want to make junior golf more accessible and welcoming. Accordingly, we have repositioned the Foundation’s purpose and vision. From July 2024, we are focusing on encouraging and supporting junior golfers 20 years old or under, living in the Western of Melbourne. Regardless of your current golfing ability or aspirations, whether you are new to golf or have been playing for a number of years, we welcome your application to be an Associate Cadet of the Foundation. For those youngsters who have aspirations to become a scratch player and can evidence successful competition golf in the last 12 months and meet our terms & conditions, you may qualify for a Cadet bursary.

If you are new to golf or an existing golfer wanting to improve your game, are under 20 years of age and live in the Western suburbs, we welcome your application to become an ‘Associate Cadet’.
Applying to become an associate cadet is ‘free of charge’ once onboarded you will be provided with a ‘Young Achievers Foundation’ membership card which will allow you access to sign up for heavily discounted or free of charge group coaching and training sessions, your membership card will also enable you to benefit from a variety of special offers across partners and sponsors of the foundation.

If you are a successful competition golfer and your handicap is under 18 and you have aspirations to become a scratch player, you may qualify to become a Cadet of the Foundation. As a cadet you will be offered a bursary to support your golfing advancements, access to group coaching, elite training camps and also provided with a ‘Young Achievers Foundation’ card which will allow access to a variety of special offers across partners and sponsors of the foundation.

We have a limited number of bursaries available each quarter, please read the terms & conditions before applying. If your Cadet Application is not successful, you will be automatically enrolled as an Associate Cadet of the Foundation. Unsuccessful Cadet applications do not preclude you from making future cadet applications.
