CADET Application
The Young Achievers Foundation (Y.A.F) invites junior golfers residing in the municipalities of Wyndham, Brimbank or Hobsons Bay to apply for an annual golf bursary.
Criteria for Awarding Bursaries
The Young Achievers Foundation fosters the expectation that the successful applicants of a Cadet bursary will become the best person he or she can be. In making its decision as to who will receive a bursary, the Cadet Sub Committee will consider the following criteria:
- Information submitted by the applicant providing personal statements outlining their golfing achievements in the last 12 months and how they believe they can benefit from Young Achievers Foundation bursary.
- Details of 2 referees (From school / coach or trainers / golf club professionals etc) who can collaborate the applicant’s potential.
- The applicant should indicate what the bursary would be used to pay for, which must be golf related e.g. equipment, competition entry / travel costs, unforms, coaching etc.
- The applicant must attend an interview with a Y.A.F Cadet Sub Committee member who will make a recommendation to the Y.A.F Governance Committee.
Eligibility to Apply
- Applicants must be under the age of 20 by the end of the current financial year (June 30th).
- Applicants must have a golf G.A handicap.
- Applicants must live in one of the following municipalities: Brimbank, Hobsons Bay, Wyndham.
